It's reported that Chinese steel mills are unwilling to cut prices further to gain orders and some even said that they will delay the delivery to the end of March.

It's known that Chinese steel mills have hiked the quotes of steel plates by US$10~US$15/ton. As a result, the Taiwanese buyers have hold orders on hand since they consider Chinese steel mills will cut prices.

However, Chinese steelmakers stated that they will not cut prices to receive orders and the delivery will be postponed to the end of March.

According to data, Taiwan imported around 20,000 tons of steel plates in February and it's estimated that those materials will be digested in mid-March. Thus, Taiwanese buyers will face shortage in the end of March.
